About Department of Physics

Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) is founded in 2008, it is the only general categorised university in Rangpur Division and the second public university in the region. It was named after the famous writer and social worker Begum Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain. BRUR has 22 departments under six faculties. The Department of Physics is the 12th department (Opening sequential department position). The department of Physics started its functioning in January 2010 with 03 teachers and 60 students. Currently, there are about 400 students, 10 full faculty members, 1 officer and 12 staffs in the department. The department is currently offering B.Sc.
